Hokkaido Snow festival 2018

Welcome to the 69th edition the SNow Festival in Hokkaido!

As evey year the event is help in Sapporo, here the detail of the events :

 

ODORI PARK SNOW FESTIVAL!

Odori park; Nishi 1 chome~ Nishi 12 chome
You can visit Od?ri site at any time.
(Illuminations turned on at sunset, and turned off at 22:00.)

Odori Park, stretching east to west over 1.5km through the heart of downtown Sapporo, will be transformed into a fantasy of snow and ice. All the works of art, sculpted with pure white snow and sparkling clear ice, will certainly impart something of the artist’s passion to the guests viewing them. The exquisite state-of-art snow and ice sculptures of such scale are the biggest attraction of Sapporo Snow Festival.

Susukino Site (SUSUKINO ICE WORLD)

Ekimae-dori (Station Avenue); Minami 4 jo ~ Minami 7 jo
You can visit Susukino site at any time.
( Illuminations turned off at 23:00. *On the last day, illuminations turned off at 22:00. )

Under the theme of ‘Enjoy the Ice’, this site offers a fantastic ice sculpture show and the Ice Sculpture Contest. You can also visit the plaza, ‘Fureai Hiroba’ to touch or ride on the ice sculptures, take photos in the Illumination Street, or have hot drinks at the Ice Bar.

Photo Session of the Ice Queen Photo Session of the Ice Queen takes place at Susukino site during the festival
Ice Sculpture Contest   ?
Award Ceremony
Each team starts working on their ice sculpture from 14:30 p.m. on February 5 (Mon), 2018 and finishes before 10:30 a.m. the following morning. D-block
Award Ceremony of the Ice Sculpture Contest takes place at 11:00 a.m. on February 6 (Tue), 2018 In front of the main ice sculpture
Ice Statue Popularity Vote You can vote for the best ice statue. The ballot boxes will be installed at the Susukino site.
Closing Ceremony? February 12 (Mon / Sub. Holiday), 2018
Begins at 21:45 p.m.
